Hot stone massage is used to help us relax and ease tense muscles or damaged soft tissues throughout the body. During the treatment, smooth, flat heated stones are placed on specific parts of the body, or used to apply strokes over tight or strained muscles. The stones are made of basalt, a type of volcanic rock that retains heat. Unheated/cold stones can be used to aid with stress reduction and inflamed muscles.
Hot Stone Therapy is incorporated within the remedial therapy in the body warming-up process. It is provided free to all clients.
